![]() The city recognized for its historic and quaint downtown, is also an active supporter of emerging and professional artists. One evening a month, Mount Dora allows artist and performers onto its downtown sidewalks during Art Splash. The event is designed to celebrate and support the arts by providing a vibrant venue to showcase the talents of visual and performance artists. The event takes place the second Friday of every month from 6 to 8 p.m. ![]() Art Splash, co-produced by Mount Dora Center for the Arts, Mount Dora Buzz, and the City of Mount Dora was inspired by Portland, Maine's Art Walk. While artists sell their creations on downtown sidewalks and inside local studios, musicians and other performers fill up their tip jars. Visitors can take it all in while strolling downtown or take advantage of the public interactive painting area where they can create their own masterpiece. ![]() Participation in the event is free, however artists and performers must obtain a free permit from Mount Dora Center for the Arts.
