It's just a small spot on the globe. A tiny spot with an abundance of natural beauty and diverse wildlife. No doubt, Mount Dora has plenty to celebrate on Earth Day.
This year's celebration will kick off at Donnelly Park on April 22. Beginning at 10 a.m., the festivities will include live music, eco-friendly exhibits, plants, handmade products, yoga and a fundraising raffle.
The Donnelly Park celebration is from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. and admission is free.
For over twenty years, volunteers of Mount Dora Friends of the Environment have hosted an Earth Day celebration in the city. The non-profit organization was founded in 1994 to preserve, protect and promote the area's natural resources through education, community outreach, and local projects including a tree planting program.
Volunteers are needed to help with the event. Anyone with an hour or two to spare can email firstname.lastname@example.org
