New ownership to bring fresh energy to Botanico Tacos & Tequila in Mount Dora
A new chapter is underway at Botanico Tacos & Tequila, as the festive Mount Dora restaurant has officially transitioned to new ownership.  The eatery has been known for its mix of tacos with bold flavors and a vibrant atmosphere.
Located at 4025 County Road 19A, the restaurant first opened in late 2024 as a modern Mexican concept rooted in the coastal flavors of Veracruz.  In addition to its modern Mexican vibe, the offerings centered around more upscale, street-style Mexican tacos and tapas with a creative twist, plus tequila-forward cocktails.  Now the new owners, family members of the original owners, are also bringing new menu items and frozen cocktails to the restaurant.
Part of Botanico’s appeal has been its flexible atmosphere. By day, it offers a relaxed, family-friendly setting with indoor and outdoor seating for lunch, while evenings bring a more lively, high-energy vibe that blends dining with a nightlife feel. The inviting outdoor space, complete with seating and gathering areas, has been especially popular among locals looking for a laid-back place to meet up or bring their family.
As the restaurant moves forward under new family leadership, Botanico Tacos & Tequila appears poised to continue evolving with new momentum.  While details about the new owners’ long-term plans have not been fully outlined, the transition presents the opportunity to build on the restaurant’s existing identity while refining operations and expanding its reach within Mount Dora’s booming dining scene.
