This would be a waste of taxpayers money! Why? Hardly no one uses the Lincoln to Tremain trail as it is! I work everyday in Mt Dora and hardly never see any one utilizing the trail. The Mountain bike trail gets a lot more use but the city does not maintain the trails, the people using the trail do!!!! This would be great for the City of Mt Dora. However, people got to come!!!!!

Derek, spend some time on the West Orange or SeminoleWekiva Trails- and you will see that both of them are packed with pedestrians and cyclists of all shapes sizes and ages. Connectivity is key to their success. The Lincoln to Tremain trail needs connectivity to the broader network to enjoy similar success.

As an economics major & practicing CPA, there is no doubt in my mind that this this is a wise expenditure of public funds that will come back over time to benefit the community. There is a huge biking and trail using community in central Florida, and the multiplier effects of this expenditure are clear.

People would utilize the trail but the one that exists now isn't really a trail to anything. When the new trail is built watch the people come and ride, walk, spend money on our town. Thank God, waited over 20 years for this!

I grew up in washing dc and the bike trail and metro were complained about endlessly before they were built. After both were finished they were an amazing boon to the economy. I live in Lake Mary and have ridden the trail daily for 20 and cannot wait. woo hoo.
