Visitors of downtown Mount Dora are getting assistance with hassle-free parking beginning in April. The City of Mount Dora will offer free shuttle services with volunteer drivers beginning April 5. The electric shuttles will each transport up to seven passengers from public parking lots into the heart of downtown. The shuttles will be clearly identifiable and run every ten minutes from the following park-and -ride lots: · First Methodist Church public parking on 5th Street between Grandview and Tremain · First Baptist Church public parking lot at 925 East 1st Street · Spill-over parking on Liberty Avenue and Highland
Shuttles will operate every Thursday through Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Sundays, 1:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The service is free to residents, employees and visitors, however tips will be accepted to help offset costs.
