good. That was the worst service and food ever. I order chicken and they brought me a pork chop then not only did the server argue with me about it so did the manager on duty. People like that shouldn't be owning a business or running it if they don't know the difference between chicken and pork.

Good! This was the worst service and the food wasn't good either! The food was cold and tasted terrible & when the waitress was notified of this she fought with us. After numerous mishaps, empty water glasses, & flat out ignoring us the waitress brought over the manager who dismissed us from the restaraunt bc " it's obvious we can't make you happy" !! We were treated as if we were not capable of affording such a restaraunt & this couldn't be farther from the truth! Happy is it going out of business!

So sad.to hear it. Mary Sue prepared the food for my wedding and it was OUTSTANDING. We just ate there last week of January for our anniversary and it was just as wonderful. The next week we went to California Grille at Disney, spent a fortune on one dinner and it didn't compare to The Palm Tree Grille. Guess we will have to eat more at JB Boondocks in Howey-in-the-hills, the other restaurant the family owns.

try Zac's Pressed for Time in Tavares across the street from newest courthouse. Open 7 days a week for breakfast and lunch. Great food

sad, but they really did have awful service. My entire table was ignored at my birthday party last year. The food was tasty at times, I had s few good meals over the years. It will be strange to see a new business there

So many businesses and shops closing in Mt. Dora. What a shame. Pretty soon no one will be visiting, because the old Mt Dora we knew and loved will be gone. As far as The Palm Tree Grill goes....,bye bye, you are one that won't be missed.

Very sad to hear that they could not find the right chef. Palm tree was a beautiful restaurant that has so much potential but the ownership sank them. I hope jb keeps up the good work and it doesn't get palmtrees employees and management migrateing over because Mary sue has it locked down right.

The Palm Tree Grill...no professionalism & crappy food. We tried over and over for years to get a good meal. In a metropolitan area it would have been closed long ago. The only thing it had going for it was that the renovations that made it a nice looking restaurant. Hopefully a real restaurant that is properly run will take over.

I hope this isn't Gianni from the restaurant in Mount dora! If it is, your food gave me food poisoning when it was located in Eustis, no wonder your restaurant shut down there.

Have had some great meals, and some not so great meals there. Beautiful renovations made for a nice atmosphere, but I echo the others in that the service was horrendous. Lake County restaurants have a huge problem finding competent, let alone great waitstaff for upscale dining. Hopefully the new owners will DEMAND High service standards. But that is something most of the restaurants here could use a dose of.

Palm Tree Grille was a staple of Mount Dora for 19 years, and there isn't many restaurants that can say the same. I wish them the best of luck, and sad to not be able experience genuine Italian in downtown Mt Dora anymore.
