MOUNT DORA GREETS NEW CITY MANAGER

Mount Dora City officials and staff officially welcomed Robin Hayes to Mount Dora as she started her new position as the city's top administrator.

 Hayes, a graduate of University of Central Florida, brings with her a strong financial background.  She was most recently Management Services Director at the City of Oviedo and previously served as Finance Director at the City of Winter Garden.

Hayes will manage the daily operation of the city and its over 200 employees, as well as carry out the policies established by the city council.   It will be her task, along with her management team of department directors to continue to bring Mount Dora residents a high level of services.

Hayes will oversee the $48,000,000 budget recently approved by the City Council.  Next year the planned emphasis is the opportunity for economic growth brought by the upcoming  Wekiva Parkway, at the same time ensuring Mount Dora maintains its existing assets.

Residents, business owners and city staff are invited to a Meet And Greet reception for Hayes in the lobby of Mount Dora Community Building on Thursday, September 29 from 5:30-6:30 p.m.  Light refreshments will be served.   The building is located on the corner of 6th Avenue and Baker Street.
