Over the Hill Farm, Sorrento This 10-acre, family-run farm grows a wide variety of offerings for picking or plants to grow at home. Artist Barb Batson also has her ceramics studio at the site. Dirty Dog Organics, Leesburg This is a cooperative-based farm that works with multiple sustainable farms in the area. The co-op accepts Fresh Access Bucks (FAB), a USDA-funded nutrition incentive program that encourages SNAP recipients to redeem their benefits at farmers markets, produce stands, and mobile markets to purchase healthy produce directly from Florida farmers. A Natural Farm, Howey-in-the-Hills Founded in 2012, this farm produces edible plants, fruit trees, fresh ginger roots, blueberries, blackberries and more. It also offers free or low-cost educational workshops for children and adults on sustainable farming and gardening.
