Lake County Commission to consider Mount Dora Groves Development on Oct. 11

Mount Dora Groves, a proposed large new development on the orange groves on U.S. 441 near Country Club of Mount Dora, is being considered by the Lake County Commission at a public meeting on October 11 at 9 a.m.     

The proposed development, on property owned by members of Mount Dora's Simpson family, has two sections. On Mount Dora Groves North, the applicant proposes a 275-lot single-family residential subdivision containing approximately 4.42 dwelling units per net acre (1.91 dwelling units per gross acre).   The application and related documents can be found here.

Mount Dora Groves South, the applicant proposes a mixed-use development containing 783 single-family and multi-family dwelling units at a density of approximately 9.75 dwelling units per acre.  It also includes 150,000 square feet of commercial uses, and associated recreational facilities.  The application and related documents can be found here.
