MOUNT DORA POLICE MOURN LOSS OF BRISKO

 It is with great sadness that Mount Dora Police Department announced the loss a valued member of its family on May 18.   Retired K-9, Brisko passed unexpectedly from what is suspected to be cancer. 

Brisko served the City of Mount Dora for seven years and was 11 years old when he passed.

Mount Dora Police Department is inviting the community to honor Brisko’s service and will hold a memorial ceremony at 9 a.m., on Friday, May 27, 2016, in the front parking lot of Police Headquarters located at 1300 N. Donnelly St., Mount Dora.

The department is appreciative of thoughts and prayers for Brisko, as well as the Mount Dora Police Department family.    ​

Anyone wishing to make a donation to the Mount Dora Heroes Foundation K-9 Fund, you can do so by going to the website, www.mountdoraheroesfoundation.com, or at Police Headquarters. All proceeds of the K-9 Fund go towards the medical expenses of the retired K-9s, and keeping active K-9s on our force.
