Contrary to the an old saying, there's proof you can go home again.
Sisters with deep roots in Mount Dora, Mitzy and Vivian Crunk, will be opening Coffee Branch Cafe on Fifth Avenue next to Atkins Realty in November.
The new coffee spot will feature hot and cold specialty coffee drinks, teas, and related gifts. The warm decor will feature limited seating and plenty of counter space for walk-up orders. There will also be sidewalk tables on Fifth Avenue.
This is not the first Crunk family business in Mount Dora. Their father owned Leggitt Rexall Drug Store in the Golden Triangle Shopping Center for many years while the family lived on Alexander Street.
The sisters attended Roseborough Elementary and Mount Dora Middle School before graduating from Mount Dora High. In the years following graduation, both women were office managers in the medical and dental fields before deciding to follow in their father's footsteps and open a small business.
The name of the business was taken from the street where their father resided in Tennessee.
