ROOFTOP DINING HEADING TO DOWNTOWN MOUNT DORA

Imagine mojitos under the stars and live music with a spectacular view.  
That's exactly what Edna Gonzalez, owner of Las Palmas Cuban Restaurant, envisioned when she brainstormed the addition of a rooftop bar and dining area to her  eatery at the prime location of Donnelly Street and 4th Avenue.

Gonzalez quickly discussed the project's feasibility with the building's owner and the city's building department.  No major obstacles were foreseen.

An architect will now draft the plans for the project which will include reinforcing the roof and constructing two staircases, according to Gonzalez.  The goal is to have the 4500 square-foot roof transformed by October for guests to enjoy.
