TOURIST TRAIN ON TRACK FOR LATER THIS YEAR

Vintage train lovers are rejoicing.   Negotiations are complete on the Tavares Station lease and the track use agreement with Florida Central Railroad.  This clears the way for the  new tourist trains to return to Lake County later this year.  

Orlando & Northwestern Railway (O&NW) will market the excursion trains under the Royal Palm Railway Experience brand aimed at recreating an authentic travel experience reminiscent of the famous streamlined passenger trains that once served Florida.

Initial offerings will include daytime entertainment experiences between Tavares and Mount Dora. Evening dinner trains and morning brunch trains are expected to begin in January.

O&NW is currently completing the final arrangements with Rail Events, Inc. to host The Polar Express train ride for the 2017 holiday season.   Other seasonal and special offerings, as well as schedules and pricing  will be announced in the coming weeks on the company's website.
