I called wawa headquarters in PA a couple of times. I ask them if they can build a wawa on Wolf Branch and 441. I guess this is what they come up with. Im ok with it.

Does the rezoning mean Mt. Dora City is taking some of the County Sylvan Shores neighborhood? If so, I'm not for it. The city has been wanting to chip away at Sylvin Shores for decades. They need the taxes they spent on their spending spree of the "relandscaping" of downtown Mt. Dora.

The City of Mount Dora already incorporates Northland Rd

The south side of Florence is also in city limits.

There taking over an older gas station and they will redo it. This is a good thing , not a bad thing. Also there gas is cheaper. And the food and coffee is to die for.

I'm so excited. My husband contacted them months ago about bringing one to our area. Great prices on gas, great food. Love being about to order fresh salads, soups and sandwiches. Made for YOU and it is quick. Also so much more including a great selection of beers and wine and my favorite is their soft crushed ice!

I'm happy Wawa will be closer but the corner of Limit and U.S. Highway 441 would have been a MUCH better location!

Certainly would have been MUCH BETTER. So much for our "Someplace Special" atmosphere.

I agree completely David. Unfortunately there is little opposition. This intersection is already a nightmare - 4 cars creates a traffic jam trying to cross or turn left onto 441 from Morningside now, with only minimal regular traffic.

Time to move elsewhere. Sorry for the folks that live behind the new station as it will be lit up all night.

Sorry I just don't get it. Having the smaller gas station (grandfathered in)there is one thing though expanding to a huge retail format (the equivalent of a Race Track)makes no sense.1) no matter what they do it's a bad intersection to properly increase the flow of traffic. 2) you've got 3 medical offices to the west and one to the east and there's no reason to plop this in the middle 3) nothing but residential to the south........ if in opposition the city needs to hear from you now. Either by email and/or in person at the next 2 city council meeting on 4/4 & 4/18.

Terrible location. This will only increase the speeding traffic on Old Eustis Road and a walker or bicyclist will eventually be run over. And the Morningside/441 intersection is already a mess.

If this Wawa was being built in any other city there would be no complaints. Mount Dora has some of the most negative continually unhappy residents that will complain about anything! Face it! Mount Dora will be in the middle of metropolitan Orlando within 10 years. Traffic is already congested on all of 441. Young families are moving in and pretty soon the complainers will be far out numbered!
