![]() The Fall season has many locals looking forward to the cooler weather and everything it brings. For less fortunate local families, the change in temperatures can also create a hardship when trying to keep their families bundled up during cold snaps. "Keep Lake Warm" is a hoodie and jacket drive currently underway to benefit Lake Cares Food Pantry clients and organized by Mount Dora Buzz. Residents wishing to help are encouraged to donate their gently used adult and children sized hoodies and jackets. Please bring clean items in good condition to the following drop-off locations through October 31. Drop-off locations: Lakes Cares Food Pantry, 2001 W. Old Highway 441, Mount Dora Monday -Friday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to 12 noon (Donation door has a drop-off sign and is on the Morningside Drive side of the building. To drop off items during regular office hours, just press the doorbell and someone will respond to take your items). Barrel of Books & Games, 128 W. 4th Ave., Mount Dora Schools, scouts, churches and other group participation is greatly encouraged. If your group is interested in helping, please click here.
