SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE AIDS MOUNT DORA STUDENTS AND TEACHERS. Public's help is needed.

A month-long school supply drive, “Supplies to Thrive,” kicked off to help Mount Dora’s disadvantaged students and the teachers that often help pay for their supplies.

Residents, businesses and community groups can help by dropping off supplies to one of five convenient drop-off locations, including all Mount Dora’s public schools.  Donations will be accepted July 17 until August 20. Each school will distribute the donations to teachers with disadvantaged students that lack supplies.  

Businesses and groups can expand the drive and show off their donations on social media, by snapping a fun photo when they drop them off and then post the photo to Mount Dora Word of Mouth on Facebook with a challenge to other businesses or groups.

Donors are encouraged to check discount “‘dollar stores” for inexpensive supplies and look for B.O.G.O. deals in other stores.

Drop-off details: Front office between 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

Round Lake Elementary

Drop-off details:  Place in donation box at front office between 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Mount Dora Middle School

Mount Dora High School

Drop-off details: front office to the attention of Kyle Bracewell between 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
