Trying to get your kids unplugged this summer and maintain their social distancing? Now there’s hope.
Kids’ Summer Art Classes at Mount Dora Center for the Arts (MDCA) kick off on July 6. Classes will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and each class is restricted to six students and will strictly adhere to current CDC guidelines. Morning, afternoon and full day sessions are available and will continue through July 31.
The classes are available for kids ages five to twelve years old and the three topics include:
"Rocking with the Masters" Students will be inspired to create mixed media masterpieces based on different master artists’ originals.
"Art Experience for Kids" Kids will learn how to “see” like an artist, and play with fiber, watercolor, chalk pastel, acrylic, ink and more.
“Kids Clay Class” Students will create artwork using hand-building clay techniques and come away with a working knowledge of the medium.
Half-day sessions are $70 per week and full-day sessions are $120.
