Tour guide Marc Crail, a retired teacher and current author, is the perfect ambassador to teach visitors about the historic town, its people, and its rich history as they stroll through its scenic downtown with him.
The entertaining and leisurely-paced tours are filled with lots of stories and history over two hours and cover two easy, slow miles of walking.
Crail is a history buff who has lived in Mount Dora since 2007. He has been leading tours in historic Mount Dora for many years and recently retired as an Animal Programs tour guide at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. A former principal and school superintendent in Ohio, Crail has written a series of entertaining novels about teaching and currently serves on the Mount Dora City Council.
Mount Dora Marc’s Walking Tours begin at 10:00 Wednesday through Sunday starting at Mount Dora Community Building where it's easier for guests to find parking.
