ART EXHIBIT CONTINUES TAVARES’ QUEST TO SUPPORT LOCAL ARTISTS

Perhaps it’s not immediately recognized as a hub of creativity, but the City of Tavares has stepped up to change that perception.
 
As part of its continued effort to present quality arts and cultural experiences to the community, as well as provide an encouraging platform for artists to share their works, Tavares will be hosting another art exhibit utilizing the large wall spaces at City Hall.
 
On May 17, a free public reception at the venue will welcome professional abstract painter, Laura Varich.  Varich, a Mount Dora resident, creates vibrant landscape and floral abstracts using oil paints on large canvases.   
 
The public is invited to meet Varich and enjoy the jazz guitar of Tom LaVenia at the exhibit’s opening reception on May 17 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Tavares City Hall, located at 201 East Main Street.
