BIG WEEKEND FOR FOOD & FLIGHT IN TAVARES

Want to know where the action is this weekend?  No doubt, it's on the downtown Tavares waterfront.

Seaplane-A-Palooza will take place this weekend and feature the 8th annual Planes, Trains and Barbecue cook-off event on Saturday and a Seaplane Fly-In and air show on Sunday..

During the Planes, Trains and Barbecue cook-off event there will be live blues and jazz, seaplane tours, a classic car show and music on Main Street, plus the splash park to cool off the little ones.   The Orange Blossom Cannonball vintage trains will have Robbery Train Rides and the day will feature and professional air-show.

During Sunday's Seaplane Fly-in, planes will be arriving through the morning and compete in various aerial competitions in the afternoon.   There will also be an aviation safety seminar for pilots at 10:00 a.m. at City Hall.
