As a resident, I don't look forward to this at all. It means an increase in crime, traffic, noise pollution and roadside litter, which has already increased dramatically since the completion of the new plaza across 441 from the theater. Sadly, there is little to no community pride nor self respect left to sustain this type of traffic to an area. Somehow I doubt the theater will be willing to pick up all the soda cups, candy boxes and popcorn buckets that will inevitably line the surrounding roadsides. Just look at how many abandoned shopping carts line Eudora Rd on any given day and how many fast food bags are sitting along 441 in this area already. It's disheartening.

Wow, you're a really sad person. I bet you don't have anything nice to say about anything.

I think it's in a perfect spot. Finally a convenient place to go to the movies. The 50 or more jobs it's creating are a boon to local young people looking for their first job. I don't ever have any trash when I leave, for what it costs, I finish every kernel! Can't wait !

I was there today and theirs a lot of work left to do. My guess is June 1st at best. Sebbie, best option for you is to stay home. Keep your negativity there while growth, new jobs and culture evolve and the rest of us can enjoy popcorn and a good movie.

I think joining a community safety group is a better option for me, thanks.

Also, Mount Dora, at least, is nationally known for its thriving community of artists and local eateries. Maybe you're new to the area and did not know we've got the 'culture' thing covered. Regarding growth, the proliferation of low paying jobs will contribute to growth, but not necessarily prosperity, which seems to be the point you're trying to make here.

I was born in Orlando, but was raised here in beautiful Mt.Dora, I look forward to the new movie theater, I just hope it brings in more business, such as more sit in restaurants such as a cheesecake factory, cheddars, ale house, pollo tropical, and small shops an old navy, famous foot, and Burlington coat factory, I work in the Orlando area, so I would love to not have to drive all the way back to Orlando for a movie, shopping, or go out to eat, I certainly welcome the change in our community
