It is not every day your artwork sets off across the country and around the world. Now a Mount Dora photographer has bragging rights that a stamp bears one of his unique images.
The USPS has selected one of Taylor Lockwood’s photos of rare glowing cluster mushrooms for its new stamp series titled Bioluminescent Life released in February. The image was taken in the Atlantic rain forests of southern Brazil. The series also features other glowing plant and sea life. The stamps will be available at Mount Dora Post Office.

Lockwood, a Seattle native, has uncovered mushrooms in the darkened forests of Australia, Costa Rica, South America, New Zealand, America and Malaysia. Some species had not been previously scientifically known. Eventually, Lockwood refined his passion for the rarest of all mushrooms, the glowing bioluminescent varieties.
