Eustis is busy preparing for its biggest street party of the year, GeorgeFest. The family-friendly event, now in its 115th year, is the longest running festival in Florida celebrating Washington’s birthday. In fact, in all 50 states, it’s second in longevity only to Laredo, Texas. The festival will take place February 24 through February 26 in Ferran Park and downtown Eustis with the theme “One Flag, One Land, One Heart."

The three-day event will feature live entertainment, carnival rides, children's activities, games, hot air balloon rides and seaplane rides. There will also be a parade, fireworks, arts and crafts, and food vendors throughout the park.
The parade starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 25, and boasts over eighty entries, including the Eustis marching band and a Blues Brothers Tribute band. GeorgeFest will host eight different bands performing on two stages showcasing country music and rock, as well as original music.
