The winner of Mount Dora's deadlocked City Council election for the at-large seat will be determined tomorrow night by either drawing straws, a coin toss or other similar means. Incumbent Nick Girone and challenger Marie Rich are currently tied. The result will be posted Tuesday evening at www.Facebook.com/MountDoraBuzz.
Two restaurants recently relocated to downtown Mount Dora. Cafe Gianni, an Italian favorite previously in downtown Eustis, opened on Alexander Street in October. Mr. Cerviche, the Peruvian restaurant formerly on 19A, re-opened in the Renaissance Building a couple of weeks ago.

Last month The Gourmet Spot merged with Julieanne's Coastal Cottage, so now all your gourmet favorites are available at Julieanne's large 4th Avenue location next to the Modernism Museum. An estate jewelry store opened in The Gourmet Spot's former location.
A new Mexican restaurant is scheduled to open soon on US 441 in Mount Dora. ABC Fine Wine & Spirits is also seeking to open on 441 & Donnelly Street. We'll keep you posted on both.
Rave reviews from runners throughout Florida, promises to make Mount Dora Half Marathon & 5k better than ever. The event will be December 21 throughout the streets of Mount Dora. The race is limited to the first 1,000 registered runners.
